The benchmark index of Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) declined for the third consecutive session. The index shed 0.39% and closed Wednesday’s session at 2118.71 points.

Total of 5.3 million shares were traded through 3,365 transactions at a turnover of JOD 5.4 million.

During today’s session, shares of 143 companies were traded, 44 rose, 50 declined, while the remaining ones kept flat.

As for sectors, they all declined today, the financial index plunged by by 0.37%, the services index decreased by 0.19% and the Industrial index lost 0.12%.

The top three gainers were, the Taameer Jordan Holdings Public Shareholding Company by 7.69%, The United Insurance by 7.32% and Societe Generale De Banque - Jordanie by 6.93%.

The top three losers were, Al-manara Insurance Plc.co. by 5.56%, General Mining Company Plc by 5.00% and Babelon Investments Co. P.l.c by 4.88%.

Yesterday, the benchmark index of Jordan bourse declined by 0.08% and closed at 2127.09 points.
